Wanted: temp home for piano

We are musicians who just moved here from Bushwick and have a piano that we can't bring into our apartment. It is a simple upright that is a well used but healthy piano. Before banishing it to storage we are brainstorming on how to keep it more active. Ideas include renting a basement/garage/studio space as kind of piano rehearsal place or perhaps doing an exchange where someone will put it in their home/venue etc... and can play it and we can maybe play it sometimes also.
Please let me know if anyone has ideas or possible solutions. We are not selling it or giving it away at this time. We are planning to move it within the next week.
Thanks!

Wanted: Drums & Bass

Two guitars seeking drums and bass for casual project. Arcade Fire, the Shins, U2, whatever comes to mind.

FS: Music Compact Discs - Rock, Blues, etc

I have a bunch of CDs I'd like to get rid of. I'll sell them individually or in lots. If you like blues and rock, I probably have a lot for you. There's also some jazz and other scattered genres... probably about 300 total. Not all of them are in good shape but most are probably fine. Comment with questions, etc.

FS: Fender Stratocastor '62 RI, Fralins - $1100

Purchased new in 2002. Sweet Sherwood Green finish. Very lightly used. A new one is $1500. Includes ALL original items, even the hang-tag. Currently has Lindy Fralin Blues Special pickups installed (sounds like a vintage strat pickup - think SRV, 70s Gilmour, Dick Dale and everything in between). Original pickups are included also. Blonde tolex Fender case. Fender vintage strap, cable, etc. Guitar pictured on left.

Services: Thinking about learning Piano?

Are you or your children considering studying piano?

I am a Kensington resident with a piano teaching studio right here in the neighborhood. I already teach a number of local children and adults and am looking to expand my studio. I am one of the most experienced teachers in Brooklyn with over fifteen years of experience and am the only local piano teacher with a Ph.D. in music and significant college-level teaching experience. I can teach any style, but I also provide all my students with a comprehensive education in all aspects and styles of music, including basic improvisation skills. And for adult students, whether you studied as a kid or never played before, consider learning from someone who has made a specialty of teaching adults to play piano and read music. I am willing to provide the flexibility working adults need: I do not insist on a regular weekly schedule nor on rigid lesson times, and compared to any other teacher, I am very generous in regard to last-minute cancellations and rescheduling.

Please check out my website for details and contact information, which is listed on the Kensington Blog as BrooklynPianoLessons.com

Wanted: Ukulele

I'm sure someone has one somewhere. Will buy or trade.

Comment if you have one.
