Wanted: Donated Goods for AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY Yard Sale

Fellow Kensingtonian Allison will be having a community yard sale in NJ on Sunday, May 3rd. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

How can you help? WE NEED THINGS TO SELL! And it's that perfect time to do some spring cleaning :) Clothes, books, electronics, we'll take it!

CHILDREN'S BOOK BASICS
Ever wonder what goes into making and publishing a children's book?
Here's your chance to find out! We'll cover everything from the
history of children's book publishing to young adult novels, with a
special emphasis on how picture books are created by authors and
artists. No prior publishing knowledge necessary. $40.

2. Saturday, May 9, 1 - 5:00 pm
INTRODUCTION TO TAROT
Tarot cards have been used for centuries to seek answers to life's
complexities. This beginner's workshop offers an overview of the tarot
along with tarot reading basics. By the end of this workshop, you'll
be able to do a simple tarot reading. Taught by the creator of the
bestselling Goddess Tarot and Lover's Path Tarot. No prior tarot
experience necessary. $75 without tarot deck/$95 with tarot deck.

3. Saturday, May 23, 2 - 4:30 pm
PUBLISHING 101
This entry level class offers a comprehensive overview of the
publishing industry. Topics covered include manuscript submissions,

4. Saturday, June 6, 1 - 6:00 pm
BOOKMAKING BOOTCAMP INTENSIVE
This workshop is for fine artists, illustrators, photographers, and
children's picture book creators anyone who has ever wanted to
transform their art and words into a professional book. We'll cover
print production requirements, dummy making, self-publishing, book
proposals, art licensing, and the special challenges of marketing
art-oriented books to publishers. Workshop includes 1/2 hour private
book consultation and critique ($50 value). Suggested prerequisite:
Book concept, art, or manuscript to work from. $125.

Wanted: Seeking apartment in Windsor Terrace

Responsible, quiet, and friendly professional couple seeking a large 1BR with small den/office/nook or 2BR. Prefer apartment in owner-occupied house. We have a small, old, well-behaved, quiet dog and a cat. Access to a garden, terrace, or rooftop a bonus. We are conscientious tenants and are looking for a quiet apartment to call home. We can spend up to $1600/mo.

We're looking to move in June or July. Also open to taking over a lease.

We have a great freestanding counter (gray marble effect top). It is handmade and ready to stain to match your place. Perfect as a divider for a studio or open living/room kitchen, with great storage space underneith. It is very study and in great condition. We are redecorating our apartment and are looking to clear space.

You will need a van and at least a second person to be able to take it. It is heavy.
